During my research into flags for the British infantry I found that the 71st did not take their colours to the Peninsular. They were lodged in the Tower of London and in 1814 were taken, along with others, to decorate the palace for a banquet and fete held by the Prince Regent - they were never seen or herd of again.


In view of the above I have added an extra unit code for those of you who want to be accurate in portraying this unit.
